Mark SteinbergI did post the original "Worthwhile or Worthless" thread, but did NOT end up acquiring the Album. I had bought some early 1900s pennants from the seller/owner off ebay, and in subsequent email correspondence, they mentioned the Album to me.
I asked them about a price, and to send me some photos (which I posted here, on the above thread) My communications with the sellers halted rather abruptly, so I assumed they had received another offer from someone else. I never mentioned the sellers name (or any contact info) here on Net54, so I am not sure how the person in Florida even found out about it.
I agree with Wonka... The album was very cool (and historically significant) in its original state, and it would have been nice to keep it that way... a minority opinion, I know! Money is a driving force however, and am not at all surprised that it was broken up.
