I don't think you got a bad deal, I just wouldn't have paid that much. But, most would not pay as much as I pay for the items I collect. I rarely bid on items that don't pertain to the focus of my collection. But, the photo you won is very appealing and I too could not resist bidding. You are fortunate to have it.
