Looking at the larger piece closely, I don't think a word was intended, just hash marks intending to convey motion. Nice observation, though, Brad, and my eye can definitely create the word "Health" or "Halth" out of them. I'm sure there's quite a history of subliminal messages (intended or not) in art over the years, so who knows? At least finding that was easier than deciphering the guy's name--no matter how hard I look at it, I can't figure out his middle initial.
