Default For the true Cono-Sewer: What do you look for in a Beater?

Posted By: Zach Rice

My collecting beliefs are right in line with the post above me. I love lowgrade cards. I love when a card has rounded corners, maybe a few creases, etc. It shows the card was well loved, probably by some kid back when it was issued. I usually don't buy cards that have damage to the players face, though. That is the most important part of the card to me and i'd like to have that all intact. Below is one of my favorites. It smells of mold and looks to have once been chewed by a dog. I bought it from Steve Verkman at the national and couldn't have been happier with the card and the price. He has probably five more right now in his auction, all of which are in the same type of condition.
