Gilbert MainesI remember as a yute in NY, everyone made a big deal out of Mays, and it seemed that nobody noticed Dark or Irvin (both of whom I thought were better). Then they traded Dark for that light hitting infielder, Schoendinst. I still don't understand that. But I do understand everyone else thinking that Mays was special...I guess that I am not always right.
