Default Board 54 forum for vintage football

Fred, if you're asking about prewar fb cards, the hobby's accepted first fb card is a college player in n162 (1888) - there are two such cards currently on ebay which is unusual.

John, can you give us a primer on how many pre-WWII fb issues there are and which ones depict professional players rather than college? I can name 1926 Shotwells, 1926 Spalding, 1933 Sport Kings, 1935 National Chicle (the biggest prewar fb issue), 1930s Diamond Matchbooks, early 1930s Dixie Lids and premiums, some uncataloged 1913 and 1920s cards, but I'm sure I'm missing several if not many issues.

(Or perhaps this should be continued on the fb forum.)
