Default Check out this early 3 x 5 autograph collecting quirk

You've gotta love this vintage collector's innovative way of collecting signed 3 x 5's!

In 1949 he sent GPC's to towns in the US that had the first and last names of players he was going to have sign a 3 x 5 and got them postmarked. Once he received them back he individually affixed the corresponding postmarks to a 3 x 5 and then subsequently sent them to the player to be signed.
A huge time commitment and a hobby quirk that I really love. I've seen at least one other collector from the late 1960's that did something similar, but this was 1949.
Pretty cool!
The seller had many signed 3 x 5's from this collection, but I went after all of the no-hit pitchers since that's what I collect. I managed to win all nine.

Check them out...
