Joe P.Let's not forget that the Babe started off as a pitcher, and also the length of the season during his time if I recall correctly, was only 154 games.
As for his homeruns, he and the world would credit that to his enormous appetite.
He could down a dozen hotdogs, and wash it down with a gallon beer.
No prescriptions needed .... only afterwards. 
Having said that, .... the man stole home several times.
