How so? Think of it in terms of marketing, Julie. I guarantee you that several "What If?" cards would grab peoples' attention (and hold it) far more than any other type of baseball picture with a cardboard backing. Just look at the 2003 edition -- I had no idea the McGwire/Dog and Giambi/Dog cards even existed! Also, think about it from a visual perspective. Far too often on past issues, there has been too much aesthetic dissonance between cards from different time periods. New, artistic latitude will eliminate this problem and create a more harmonious coexistence between cover subjects.
