MWHow about this esoteric, yet universal theme -- cards that should/could have been, but never were?
A few examples: 1915 Cracker Jack Babe Ruth, T206 Joe Jackson, 1933 Goudey Satchel Paige, 1962 Topps Maury Wills, 1984 Donruss Roger Clemens.
Of course, such a theme might face the risk of a few of the artistic creations ending up in you-know-whose auctions.
