These cards looked kosher to me at first and I try not to consider myself an easy mark ..
But, the evidence marshalled in this thread is downright frightening.
Nonetheless the sale price on this seemingly random assortment of the 19th century's finest continues upward and many of the bidders are not exactly newbies.
Hopefully someone will retract and scare some of the other bidders away....
