d) Rough cut or not, by the time a card gets into my collection it's so beat to hell, that you usually can't tell the difference..

For modern cards though, obviously I'm looking for a card that looks somewhat pack fresh and not like factory scrap. So I guess I'd prefer a smooth cut.. Although, I will admit that the rough cut '73 OPC Gossage PSA 9 that somebody posted the other day was quite intriguing..
