Tom Boblitta legal case on $35.00 shipping. That would really be the definition of small claims..... Not sure what you bought, but surprising that our court system is taking time to deal with a case that small. If it is clearly spelled out in an auction what the shipping is, it's pretty difficult to defend being mad over it. If it's spring on you after the auction, you have some leverage. You just gotta incorporate that price into your bidding scheme.
Owning a UPS Store, I get people coming in ALL the time shipping ebay items. Most are larger items that people don't have packed and didn't estimate size or weight properly to get a really good estimate from the ebay calculators. We ship TONS of ebay items for people--both UPS and USPS on a weekly basis.
