mj$9.99 is not bad - it's reasonable, especially if the card is graded. Although, I've seen many cards, both graded and non-graded, start at $0.99 and do hella well.
On one note though, if the card is a common card and not graded, you'll get less bites with a starting bid of $9.99 - it'll sell, but maybe bypassed by some people.
