Bob,

I tried doing that and while it is far less expensive and possibly more secure, for the past 6 years I have opted for a 970 lb fire/burglar rated safe and an insurance policy in order to have the convenience of having the stuff accessible at any given moment. Kind of takes the fun out of owning the stuff if you can't actually look at it.
