robert aThe biggest problem obviously is when your image is being used on a fraudulent website or ebay auction.
When it comes to informational websites, studies, books, etc., I wouldn't mind at all.
Not so sure where I stand on for-profit businesses taking my images for their own sites, but to a certain extent when you "publish" something to the web, it becomes public domain.
Also, you can't always know if permission was granted to use the image when the card/photo was in someone else's collection.
If it were me, I would ask permission.
