I like the '60 Fleer Ted Williams because it is his last card as an active player. Was buying them in the early '90's in raw NMt-Mt, before it seems that many others appreciated the card as having that status, for about $40.00 apiece. Had 10-12 of them, and sold them all when the expected increase in value came, except one as my keeper. I look at that card, and keep seeing the films of Teddy Ballgame hitting a homerun at Fenway in his last career at bat.
As to the '61's, am in full agreement that their non-contempory status pretty much eliminates their appeal to a true vintage collector, although I think those with autographs are pretty neat!
Enjoy your collecting, whatever vehicle it might take!
