Default Help with Canadian cabinet card

I hope someone can help me with a recent pick up.
The image on the cabinet card seems to be of a man wearing what reminds me of a baseball uniform from the time period, which I estimate to be late 1880’s to to early 1900’s. The photographer is Thomas Lafluer, apparently, according to the Cornwall museum, he used the misspelled mounts because he was “thrifty”
The museum collects his images and he is well known in the area. They speculate the SA could be Salvation Army, but could provide no info on whether or not it was a sports uniform they knew. Anyway, I am hoping someone here could help with whether or not this baseball, and if so, what team.
Thank you
