I bought this Joseph Hall Cabinet and the accompanying Real Photo Postcard from an estate auction in Rochester, New York. The seller was an elderly woman, and the person referenced on the real photo postcard is supposedly her grandfather, and was supposedly a baseball player. I'm not sure whether he is also supposed to be on the Joseph Hall Cabinet, but I was assuming so.
I posted the postcard on a car website asking about the model, and someone identified it as a Buick Express Truck, either a 1915 C-4 or a 1916 D-4. This would put it at least 27 years after the Joseph Hall. I can't really tell how old the person looks in the picture, but it's reasonable that they could be in their 50s.
This is the photo used for the 1888 Sporting Times New York Giants Cigar Card:

Based on the cigar card, the missing names are:
1. Titcomb
2. Keefe
3. Whitney
4. Slattery
5. Ward
Ward's face has been somewhat obscured by scribbling, possibly by a kid, indicating that Ward was the family member and is the one pictured on the Real Photo Post Card? Obviously a reach, but just a thought.
I tried to do a handwriting comparison between known signatures and the writing on the back, but no luck either.
So any thoughts on who the mystery man might be?
Thanks for looking!
Jeff
