My favorite set from the 1960s as well. Like you, I had great fun putting it together some years ago. I sold off most of my PSA set, but kept many of the HOFers.
I think most of the fun in this hobby is the hunt.
I still have my raw set and lots of dups accumulated along the way up the ladder.
Imagine though if Topps had put Nolan Ryan on the Seaver card instead of Bill Dennehy -
