Default Mastro Auction

re: 1933 Goudey #92 Gehrigs - there seems to be a PSA 8 of that card in EVERY catalog auction...the PSA 8 pop is 42!! Just too many, you won't have to wait long to get a crack at another one. The #160 is a completely different story.

re: 1933 Goudey Lajoie - between the Mastro & REA auctions, there were 6 Lajoie's up in a two week span. Mastro had the PSA 9, a SGC 60 and a PSA 3 within a complete set. REA has the PSA 1MK, PSA Authentic and a PSA 6. There is another one coming up in the Heritage auction. And wasn't someone trying to sell a PSA 2 in the BST recently? That's alot! The PSA pop is only 61. I can't tell how many in SGC holders as their pop reports seem to be down...but say there is another 14 there for a total of 75. That means almost 10% of all graded Lajoies have traded hands within about a month.

re: other Goudeys - they surely don't seem to have increased at the rate of other cards. It's probably due to the fact that there are so many more, particularly in high grade, than other pre-war sets. Also, the big players seem to be done or close to it with their sets. So naturally anymore that comes up only goes to the guys willing to pay lower prices since the big guys have their card already. It would take another PSA 8 collector into the Goudey market to move prices back up. If another PSA 8 collector sells, then the market probably drops down a notch.
