that the EBay fiasco was 100% shill bidding on a "private" auction with a ridiculous high reserve for the SOLE purpose of trying to drive up the "market value" of these cards.
I think the Mastro price is dead on accurate, and I don't expect the REA one to be much different.
In other words... I could have put my Reccius Wagner on Ebay with a $200,000 reserve and had a friend bid $199,999 on it... but that wouldn't have meant that the card was worth that much.
Perhaps this would have "fooled" some folks into thinking that the "market demand" for the card was that high...
but based on what the T210 Jackson sold for...
the EBay trick DID NOT WORK!
