Default Henry Chadwick?

I was looking at this, which Heritage identifies as Chadwick ca. 1890: https://sports.ha.com/itm/baseball-c...a/7200-81767.s

And this 1865 piece, in which it is indicated that most believe the unidentified man on the right is Chadwick: http://loveofthegameauctions.com/Ite.../5893a_lg.jpeg

Something doesn't add up here. Either the photo date is off, by many years, or the artist who created the woodcut was trying to depict Chadwick as he would look in the future rather than as he looked on an image that already existed by 1865, or Chadwick didn't age noticeably between 1865 and 1890, or my own visual perception of age is abysmal, or that just isn't Chadwick on the woodcut. Or, of course, some combination of the above.

Opinions?

Chadwick was born in 1824.

Does anybody know who first suggested that it was Chadwick on the woodcut with Jim Creighton? That seems to be mentioned in the write-up every time one of them comes up for auction, but I'd like to know who first suggested it and on what basis.

And if it isn't Henry Chadwick, then who is it?
