Default T206 Honus Wagner with Chesterfield back? :)

Posted By: Ted Zanidakis

Chesterfield cigarettes were first manufactured and sold in 1883 by the Drummond Tobacco in St. Louis. Then
the American Tobacco Co. (ATC) acquired Drummond (circa 1910) and they shortened it to DRUM.

Anyhow, the Chesterfield brand was renewed when ATC was divested in 1911 and a lot of their Cigarette pro-
duction was transferred to the L&M plant in Durham, NC (Factory 42).

Therefore, there is no way a T206 Honus Wagner would be found in a Chesterfield pack......all T206 Wagner
cards were inserted in Piedmont or Sweet Caporal packs (Factory 25 or 30).

The 1909 stamp was applied to T-packs for several years after 1909.
