DavidI am not an avid trading card collector and don't follow the grading card companies as closely as others on this board. Having said that, from my observation so many cards in PRO holders are SO small that either PRO is aware the cards are trimmed cards or they are incompant to the extreme.
Aout a year and a half ago, this issue was brought up to me, so for my newsletter I looked into it (being the fine investigative reporter that I am). In particular, I looked at a series of PRO graded 1939 Play Ball cards, comparing them to a spate of other-graded and non graded cards. The Play Balls were so short (not talking factory variations here), that it was a joke. I contacted PRO for their side of the story, and even provided images of Play Balls, and received no response.
