Jason LI have to say that my own personal opinion of these half grades is actually slightly negative. I went into this very neutral on the subject.
I am usually a glass half-full kinda guy (I believe in equities long-term, I am a Cubs fan, etc), but I have to say that my first impression when I see a half-graded card is a half-empty reaction...which is to say that when I see a 6.5 grade, for instance, rather than saying to myself, "Hey, that's better than a 6!" I find myself saying, "Oh, that's not good enough to be a 7."
to stay on topic, I apologize, but I have no idea about the value premium. To be honest, because of my reaction as stated above, I purposely try to AVOID the half grades when I buy.
