This isn't an exact answer to your question but you might want to track this by the Topps Product Code. Most producers have something similar. Originally, I started tracking this to find out if 1991 Topps DS cards had a different Topps Product Code over the normal 1991 Topps (they didn't) but quickly realized I was looking for something different.

Topps Product Codes are printed are both sheets at the time of printing, the wrappers as well as the final boxes.
