Default Scorecard Lettering

It may relate to the version of the card over time as it relates to the particular series. Earlier versions of the Tigers scorecards contained an individual serial number used to ID a fan who won tickets to a future game. Not sure if they were still doing this by 1937.

My research on these shows these numbers ran from lowest to highest throughout the season. This has helped me spot scorecards that have be "scored" after the fact in order to make it look like it came from a significant game. There are other things to look for as well, but then it begins to become a function of the scorecard by team and period as much as anything else.
