Default Has anyone ever soaked an M116 Sporting Life?

Posted By: Frank Wakefieldf

I have not. But the guy that taught me how to remove the glue from T206s and E90-1s said he soaked M116s, too. He put scrap book sheets of them in a bathtub, ran the water, and floated the rascals off.

I've only had 3 M116s, and each were in fantastic shape. I sold a HOFer, and kept a great Waddell, plus a card of a scrappy little ball player who played for Mr. McGraw. Tillie Shafer. I think hiis card is a tiny bit tougher than other M116 commons, and even if I'm mistaken about that, I wouldn't sell him for 100x book value.

I'd run some tap water in a clear glass, put the card in, and have some paper towels ready for initial blotting, followed by a plain paper and stack of books sandwich. It will go well.

Good luck, Frank.
