This purchase ended a
very long quest to complete my Orioles Media Guide and yearbook run. This first season 'guide' has been pretty elusive, not easy to find in decent shape. This one is a beauty. There isn't a lot to these Orioles guides from the first few years in Baltimore. They really were not much more that Spring Training rosters as they are called on the cover. Just three sheets of paper folded and stapled. It wasn't until 1960 or so that they became more than just 'pamphlets'. Fast forward to 2006 and the guide clocks in at just shy of 500 pages.
I wish they continued to publish these in paper form but I understand that things have changed. The same goes for yearbooks.
