Thank you Pat! I've been having a lot of fun researching who the obscure subjects were and their lives, and some of them I have not found that much on.
Most of the set outside of the baseball players and boxers held some active world record or first at the time. The Edwards really jumps out as an odd choice. His last real fight was in 1884, and he hadn't been active much even before that for quite some time.
