Won
this lot on an impulse buy from Lelands. Its a
really cool book about each Hall of Fame member from the Sporting News and it has 42 different HOF autographs in it, with an LOA and tickets from auto shows. I love books about the Hall of Fame, but its pretty bulky, and I feel like I might damage it, looking through it, so I am considering selling it.
I know very little about autograph collecting.
I suppose the answer to the question of "what it is worth" is what I just paid for it. But for sh*ts and giggles, I tried to come up with a value for it.
I went on
PSA's Auto website and looked up each of the 42 players that signed the book, and tried to conservatively estimate the value (mostly equating the autos to a HOF plaque, rather than a picture, since autos on pictures tend to be more valuable.
Below are the results of my conservative estimate, which totals to $1,095.
I would imagine you'd need to heavily discount that to get to a value of the book as no one is going to value all of the autos.
But I was wondering if I was on the right track? Any help would be much appreciated!
