If the problem was minor and on the back of the card or very unnoticeable on the front of the card I'd take the card with the flaw as long as it presented itself well.
Good honest wear is fine but overall appearance works for me. I've got a PSA1 '34 Goudey that looks Ex/Mt from a distance but upon closer inspection there is a small tear on the card which is hard to notice.
I guess to answer the question I'd have to say that I'd need to see the card before making that judgement.
