The Cards had there chance last spring and they BLEW it! Tough shit! They should have signed him then, instead of playing hard-ball with him!
We will see how you feel about this contract in about 4 years. As a Cardinals fan, I am sad he is gone but that is silly money for a guy who is going to be 32 when he steps on the field for the first time next season.

I would have loved to have had him retire as a Cardinal, but part of me is relieved that the Cards don't have that contract to deal with
