I remember easily getting over $100 for high grade 1972 Carew's in the mid 80's

IMO the best card is the 73 Schmidt, high number (last series year), best player of the 70's, often miscut/OC.
That 72 Carew is one of my favorite cards. It was worth as much as a 55 Mantle back in 1982 ! A kid I used to trade with stole my 72 Carew and I was devastated. I paid one my bully thug friends 3.00 to get it back for me and he did but then he kept it, but did give me back my 3.00.
