I have never been to either one(I have been to large card shows and have been to the Football HOF in Canton, Ohio) but I think it really depends on what you want in return from the experience. If you are wanting to be overwhelmed by the massive amounts of collectibles or if you are looking for specific things to buy I would say go to the national. If you want to enjoy the history of the game of baseball and learn more about the players that shape the sport, go to Cooperstown. I don't think you will be disappointed in either one.
