Diamond cuts occur when something happens to off-set the blades when cutting the cards, corners are not 90 degrees but usually the edges are still parallel having 2 opposite sides cut abnormally. At least in CJs, this can happen with a single border leaving a couple 90 degree corners and a couple that aren't.
To me, miscut means not cut properly. Diamond cut cards are not cut properly, therefore miscut....to me anyway. You're right about the 90 degrees though. Not sure what I was thinking there.
