Hi All:

Recently someone sent me the photo below, and while I am usually pretty good at ID'ing a Phillies player post 1950 this one has me stumped.

The photo and uniform appear to be from the early 1950's or so. I believe 1953 due to the thicker bottom of the "P" on the cap. Looking at team photos 1953 seems to be the year with this type of "P".

Checking the roster for the 53 team or those that played with the team in 52 and may have gone to spring training that year the only possibilities I see this could be are Lou Possehl, Jack Lohrke, Nippy Jones or Stan Palys. In later years it could be Floyd Baker, John Easton, Bob Greenwood, Danny Schell or Dave Cole. In checking their photos I can not make a definitive match.

I do not think it is any of them and I doubt this "player" ever played for the big league team. My guess is he is a minor leaguer who played in a spring training or an exhibition game. He looks a little too old for a bat boy.

I am not even sure he is wearing a uniform. The hat and jacket look team issued however.

Any help with a name or other info that could help would be appreciated.

Also, while I "have your ear" if any of you have a team issued 8x10 B&W glossy photo of any of the below players please let me know. I would buy or trade for them.
