While cataloging my collection, I noticed that on the back of a Walter Johnson/ Gabby Street T202, the Black Hassan back has a stamp in purple with the date, "Sept 6, 1912" on all three panels, and a 4th stamp with the date Sept 7, 1912 at the bottom of the center panel. Possible tax stamp?

Has anyone else come across this type of stamping?
