Correct! Julio Franco at 47 became the oldest player in major league history to hit a home run, helping the New York Mets rally for a 7-2 win over San Diego in 2006.

The youngest player is more difficult. It was 17 year old Tommy Brown of the Brooklyn Dodgers. He connected off Preacher Roe of the Pirates on August 20, 1945, at Ebbets Field.
