On a mathematical note: all the pairs of seeds in the first round add up to 17 (1 vs 16, 5 vs. 12, 8 vs. 9, etc.)

If there are no upsets all the pairs in the second round will add up to 9 (1 vs 8, 4 vs. 5, etc.) If you see a pair in the second round with a total greater than 9, that means one of the lower seeds upset a higher seed in the first round.

If pairs in the third round add up to 5, there were no upsets. If in the fourth round they add up to 3 (1 vs.2), there were no upsets.

After the final four it's every man for himself.
