Era Postcards of places in Oklahoma where Thorpe frequented as a young person and Haskell, KS where he attended in 1898. Born in 1887 according to his baptismal certificate yet he claims he was born in 1888. He was born in Bellemont , Oklahoma. Generally, Prague is considered his home town but he also referenced Shawnee, Oklahoma as his home town. These postcards show what the places looked like while he was frequenting those towns:
