That is why I asked and was told "I was looking for the best players of the decade, whose rc was also in that decade." Now it seems like he is wanting top 5 players whose RC is in the decade. So, a different list.
50s Mays, Mantle, Aaron, Clemente, Koufax
60s Yaz, Rose, Morgan, Seaver, Bench
70s Schmidt, Brett, Yount, Molitor, Ozzie Smith
80s Henderson, Ripken, Boggs, Maddux, Griffey
90s Frank Thomas, Chipper Jones, Pedro Martinez, Bagwell, Beltre
00s Cabrera, Pujols, Ichiro, Kershaw, Trout
I am excluding known steroid users so Bonds, Arod and Clemens are disqualified. I have seen nothing but rumors about Bagwell, so he is on my list. I go by the original definition for RC, so the 2009 Bowman Chrome Trout is his RC, not the rookie logo card.
