He was not in the 1951 thru 1957 Topps series .... or the 1950, 1951, 1954-55Bowman issues.
I have heard that there were contract disputes between Topps and Bowman for many players and have also heard that certain players just simply were not available when it was time to sign the contract. I have never seen a Bowman contract, but the Topps contracts are pretty cool companion pieces.
I can only imagine the Bowman issues of Aaron, Musial, Jackie, and soooo many others!
