Joe D.Looking through my Southern League Old Mills, I saw the "faded black" and also the black... and then one looked brown.
SGC did not designate it a brown back. I asked them why not?, and showed them the card next to a black back... "Thats a very good question" as the person took the card back to the grader and came back and asked "why do you think it is a brown back?"....
I answered "ummmm.... because it looks brown".
Anyway I was told under the light you could see it was not brown, even invited to look under the light... I did and quite honestly - I still think it is a brown back.
So, I am holding onto the card -- until I see "an official" brown back in person to compare it to.
I scanned the the brown (left) next to a black old mill at the same time as one scan...
