Default Tribute to Miller Huggins....show us your cards, stuff, etc.

In 1923, a 19-year old rookie 1st baseman joined the Yankees. Miller Huggins devoted a lot of time in developing Lou Gehrig into the player he became.
Years later Lou Gehrig said....“He’s the most patient manager I ever knew. He stuck with me and encouraged me and helped me. He is the best teacher
I ever had the privilege of being with.”

Miller Huggins died Sept 25, 1929......

Lou Gehrig told reporters, “I will miss him more than anyone. Next to my father and my mother, he was the best friend a boy could have. He taught me
everything I know.”
