Andrew S.I would say the value is probably affected based on your description. You could go with one of the big two (PSA/DNA) (JSA). Personally, I always have Rich Davis authenticate my high-value items. He seems to know more about autographs than anyone I've ever dealt with but is more independent and has a lower profile (doesn't advertise).
