My first game was in 1982, I was 6 ears old, at Riverfront Stadium in Cincy. The Cards were visiting in their baby blue uniforms and Tommy Herr was up. He fouled one up into the Green seats, behind the plate. My Grandfather, Dad, and I (all three Georges) were sitting together with me in the middle. Pap reached up with two hands caught the ball. I still remember him standing up with the ball above his head while the entire section cheered for him. He immediately gave me the ball and it is still my prized piece in my collection.
