Default April Pickups

Some of my recent pickups:

Although I've had some very good pickups recently, this is my favorite of the last couple of years, mainly because it fits squarely in the focus of my collecting niche, the Philadelphia Eagles. It is a panoramic photograph of the 1934 Philadelphia Eagles. I have a 35 as well, the this 34 is much bigger and in much better shape. I still need to get it framed.

Next, I recently picked up this group of early football tickets, etc. Included in the group is a small program for the 1899 Army Navy Football game, with 2 accompanying ticket stubs. The army navy game actually started in 1890 but up until 1894, the game was a home game for either army or navy. After a nasty incident in 1894, the Army Navy game was banned (the teams were only allowed to play home games). The game was restarted in 1899 as a neutral field game in Philadelphia. The other stubs are mostly Penn games between Harvard, Cornell, Lafayette, and Carlisle.
