Default If you could have one card...

Posted By: Andy Baran

Jay,

In my opinion, it is a card, for 2 Reasons.

1. If my memory serves me correctly, I believe that at the time it was issued, the purchaser had the option of purchasing a regular ticket, or for a premium price they could buy this "card" that could be used as a ticket. I think that if there was a 2002 Topps Yankee Insert Card that was issued that would also allow the owner to get into a particular Yankees game while keeping the "card" it would be considered a card, not a ticket. If there were no regular tickets issued for the Hoboken game, then I would consider this a ticket.

2. As I have told people before, I have one simple rule that helps me determine whether or not I believe that an item is a card or not. Basically, if it looks like a card, and it feels like a card, then it is a card. To me, it definitely looks like a card, and I would imagine that it feels like a card, so I consider it a card. I'm not at all familiar with the Yankees Tickets with Player Photos, but I imagine that it looks more like a ticket than a card.

Just my opinion.
